Day 60 (30th June)

It’s still sunny today. I hope that means winter is on its way out? In my Word study today, I was led to a scripture passage in (Zechariah 4:10) that talks about not despising small beginnings because the Lord rejoices to see the work begin. It brought such peace to my spirit because sometimes it seems that we are crawling with our We CAN events, though I know that the future of We CAN is great.

My daughter and I went to visit the Children’s Centre called ‘Give Them Hope’ in Nellmapius. I have been postponing for a while but decided to go today. The Centre looks after orphans as well as acts as a Crèche for children whose parent goes to work. The place is a couple of sheds which accommodate the children and a kitchen area. It is managed by a lady fondly called Pinky. They are a registered nonprofit organization but are still in the start up phase in terms of funding support from the government. There is so much need in the community to take care of orphans and other vulnerable children.

The Children are so beautiful and require love. We met them having lunch and enjoying it so much. These children are so precious to Jesus. They deserve so much love. By the grace of God, I am committing to supporting this Centre.
